Baking class for KidsWould you like to give your kids and or their friends a fun & experiential cooking session they will never forget?

Skip the parks and rides. Bring them to the mini kitchens instead.

In recent years, there’s been a growing demand for Baking Class for Kids.

These are classes specifically created just for the kids. Why?

Well, there are many reasons, one of which is the exposure of these children to technologies such as televisions and mobile devices.

Anywhere they go and at any time, they can watch their mommies or daddies watching Asian Food Channel.

Also, parents are teaching their children how to be more conscious and cautious about the food they eat by allowing them to prepare their meals.

Cooking and baking classes for kids can be enjoyable as they can do it with their friends or even meet new ones.

Moreover, they are taught essential sciences such as math (when they measure ingredients), science (when various ingredients and other materials interact with one another, and creativity.

They are also taught the value of food and healthy without being boring or preachy.

Classes these days, after all, can include food preparation, presentation, table setting, and kitchen and personal hygiene.

What’s in a Baking Class for Kids?

The baking class for the kids is entirely different from those offered to the adults:

1. They’re shorter. An adult baking class takes about 2.5 to 3 hours. For kid’s baking class, it usually lasts for only 2 hours.

The duration is, however, shorter since kids don’t have a very long attention span. They easily get bored.

If it’s a kid’s baking party, it may take a longer time, depending on the party program and the number of participants involved.

2. You can drop the kids in. In truth, kids are not fond of having adults at their parties.

So one of the options provided by schools today is drop-in.

Before work, you can drop the children at school and just come back when you or they are ready.

3. There’s less theory involved. Again, kids get bored quickly if they are asked to listen to an adult talking for too long.

Many chefs, in fact, often jump into the action and just share whatever interesting information or truth about baking and cooking while the kids are already doing it.

Everything is already covered.

Most of these schools have already created packages for you.

All you have to do is to choose which one is great for the kids to do.

All the materials needed, including the chef’s uniform or apron and utensils are provided for.

4. Kids won’t learn how to make petit fours yet. Though they love to experiment, baking and cooking can sometimes be too complicated for their age.

Chefs, therefore, offer simple cooking and baking recipes for them, such as cookies, cupcakes, cinnamon rolls, and mini pizzas.

They may not even have to bake one whole cake. Instead, the cakes are already prepared, and the kids can use their imagination when it comes to cake decoration.

5. You can have a themed birthday party. If your children are looking forward to a theme for their birthday or any party, then you’re in luck.

We have already thought of that as well. For instance, the little ladies can enjoy a whimsical tea party and do cupcakes or cookie decoration.

6. Most culinary schools want reservations or appointments.

Because of the high demand or the restrictions as to space and time, schools and chefs encourage early reservations.

You may then have to pay a fee, which is considered non-refundable or non-transferable.

7. They may require a certain number of attendees.

Usually, due to time and space constraints, schools and chefs have a range when it comes to attendees, like from min 10 to 20.

If anything less or more, you have to shoulder the expenses.
