How to make Char Siu Bao?

Ingredients: 

  • Asian Pastry RecipeCornstarch
  • Garlic
  • Scallion
  • Barbecued Pork
  • Oyster Sauce
  • Soy sauce
  • Sugar
  • Oil         
  • Chicken Stock

Baking Methods:

  1. Put oil in a wok and heat it and then fry scallion and garlic. After stirring them, add sugar and oyster and soy sauce.
     
  2. Asian Pastry RecipeCornstarch must be dissolved in the stock of chicken and then it must be poured into the wok. Stir the mixture till the pork gets a golden colour.
     
  3. Knead dough into sausage-shaped rolls. Slice them into small pieces and flatten the pieces and stuff the fillings.
     
  4. Twist the pleats to secure the fillings inside.
     
  5. Put the buns on an aluminium foil and keep them on a steamer tray till the dough gets smoother.
     
  6. Steam them again in boiling water for another 8-10 minutes.
     
  7. Get ready to serve and relish.

How to make Mantou?

  • Milk
  • Yeast
  • Low-Gluten Flour
  • Water
  • Vegetable Oil
  • Caster Sugar

Baking Methods:

  1. Take a bowl and put all the ingredients in it. Add vegetable flour and mix together the ingredients.
     
  2. Knead dough slowly.
     
  3. Shape it in the form of a ball and let it rest.
     
  4. Divide dough into equal portions.
     
  5. Steam these balls till they get fluffy.  Serve warm.
     
  6. Add curry sauce or hot chocolate to relish the delicious steamed buns.
