Junior Culinary Bootcamp

School holidays provide an excellent opportunity for your child to relax, have fun, and be a kid.

Our goal is to provide them with all of this and more. The Junior Culinary Bootcamp consists of five half-day lessons designed to introduce children to the joys of cooking and baking.

Our chef-taught hands-on classes are ideal for young learners without any prior cooking experience. They cover cuisines from all over the world and are taught by our chefs.

Additionally, your child will learn valuable skills and have fun, boost their creativity, foster healthy eating habits and make friends along the way.

How many classes do we conduct?

Students can join the five-class series as a whole package or register for individual classes on weekdays.

Following the enrollment in these classes, the participants will get the following:

1. Those who attended all five sessions will receive a certificate of completion and an apron.
2. Cooking and baking class is divided into modules to facilitate understanding.
3. Participants will work together in teams of similar age.
4. Everyone must participate actively in the class. 

What does your child learn in the Junior Culinary Bootcamp?

School Holiday Program #1 – Kitchen confidence is an important cooking skill for teens to learn and master

It would be best if your child learns the healthy ways to prepare food at a young age.

Day 1: PastaSpaghetti and Ravioli

There are many types and sizes of pasta available, and they are easy to prepare. So it does not come as a surprise that many people enjoy cooking pasta.

(a) Spaghetti – This pasta dish comes with hearty meatballs and a tomato-based sauce.

(b) Fresh Ravioli – Our class will teach you how to prepare fresh ravioli with cheese and mushrooms, served with sage sauce and burnt butter.

Day 2: Burgers & Fries and Apple Pie

Burgers and fries are an excellent combination. Considering this, why not try creating these at home and see if they work?

(a) Burger with Fries – This class will teach you how to make a burger from scratch, including making a tasty beef patty from scratch. Enjoy it with some crispy fries on the side.

(b) Apple Pie – Make the delicious filling from scratch, and you are sure to enjoy the experience. Then, you will fall in love with the savory aroma and golden brown crust.

Day 3: Home Comfort Foods

There is nothing more satisfying and soothing than home comfort foods. Therefore, it is a great idea to prepare them for your loved ones.

(a) Stir-Fried Rice – You will enjoy the flavors and textures of this savory fried rice, which is simple to prepare.

(b) Sweet and Sour Chicken – A perfect balance of sweet and sour flavors creates a delicious taste that bursts into the mouth.

(c) Banana and Chocolate Muffins – This muffin is filled with a delightful burst of banana and chocolate flavor.  

Day 4: Tortillas & Cheese Cake

Cheesecake and tortillas are a delicious combination, who could resist? On Day 4, you will learn to make tortillas and cheesecake.

(a) Soft Tortillas – You will have the opportunity to make tortillas from scratch. A variety of fillings are available with these soft tortillas, such as fish and vegetables.

(b) Cheese Cake – This cheesecake is very rich but not overly sweet. You will quickly learn how to prepare this delicious pastry.

Day 5: Desserts – Churros and Profiteroles

A big thumbs up to those with a sweet tooth! The theme for Day 5 is desserts.

(a) Churros – Fried dough sticks are rolled in a cinnamon and sugar mixture, they are also filled with creamy or fruity fillings, but one thing they all have in common is fried.

(b) Profiteroles – Profiteroles consist of pastry balls stuffed with filling and offer a sweet indulgence. In addition, they are available with the glaze of your choice.

School Holiday Program #2 – Having kitchen confidence is a vital skill that every teenager should have in his or her arsenal

This School Holiday Program provides an opportunity for you to release your inner chef.  

Day 1: Bento Boxes

Bento boxes as a concept are more than simple takeaway lunches since they provide a balance of meals that are both satisfying and healthy. All the ingredients you need for a complete and nutritious meal will be in one box.

(a) Sushi Rice Sushi rice is a low-calorie food. In addition, it is very easy to prepare.

(b) Tomagoyaki Eggs – This dish is a type of Japanese omelette. It offers a variety of tastes and is cooked in a rectangular pan. You can add toppings like seafood or veggies to it.

(c) Sushi Rolls – This recipe is a favorite among sushi lovers. This dish is the perfect combination of rice, vegetables, raw fish, and nori, resulting in a dish that has vibrant color and layers of flavor.

(b) Mac and Cheese – You can make your own mac and cheese with a rich flavor and excellent texture.

(c) Garlic Bread – You can create delicious garlic bread using three simple ingredients.

Day 3: Impressive Dinner

Spend the evening preparing an impressive dinner for your family.

(a) Roasted Chicken – Roast chicken is one of the most anticipated dishes at a family dinner. The tender, juicy meat and mouthwatering aroma make every bite memorable.

(b) Chocolate Lava Cake – Whether you serve this cake for dinner or take it as a dessert, you are sure to be delighted by its deliciousness.

Day 4: Japanese Food

A Japanese meal combines texture, flavor, and aroma to ensure a truly memorable dining experience.

(a) Chicken Oyakodon (Japanese Rice Bowl) – The traditional Japanese dish consists of sauteed chicken meat. The dish is simmered in a Japanese broth, topped with eggs, and served with white rice.

(b) Gyoza – This type of dumpling is made from chopped vegetables and ground pork and wrapped in a thinly stretched wrapper.

(c) Miso Soup – Miso soup is a central part of Japanese cuisine, and you will have the opportunity to create this comforting dish.

Day 5: Singaporean Food

(a) Fried Hokkien Mee – This popular stir-fried noodle dish is filled with tasty flavors, whether topped with seafood or a combination of lard crackles and pork belly strips.

(c) Ondeh Ondeh – A popular Singaporean dessert, glutinous rice balls are coated with freshly grated coconut. This semi-melted palm sugar delivers an irresistible taste.

Children of all ages can attend the Junior Culinary Bootcamp

Junior Culinary Bootcamp is a cooking school program for young chefs that will cover food safety, handling raw meat, and so forth. In addition, the students will learn new techniques to produce dishes in teams.

Children of all ages can participate in these modules. However, children younger than seven years old will need their parents’ supervision.
